FRAGRANCE VISUALS

1. Project Type: Fragrance Campaign Visuals (Social / Digital)
Role: Photographer / Visual Director (Full Contribution)
Period: May – September 2024

2. Context
This project involved producing visual content for fragrance campaigns by Jo Malone London and Lacoste.
Each shoot was creatively directed to reflect the scent profile, seasonal mood, and brand identity—through carefully planned spaces, lighting, styling, and color palettes.
The goal was to capture the essence of each fragrance in an emotionally resonant and visually sophisticated way.

3. Strategy & Planning

  • Jo Malone (Summer Collection):
To express the fruity and herbal notes of this seasonal scent, we shot under strong natural sunlight in a vivid, Latin-inspired studio.
The setting evoked a sun-drenched, tropical vibe, highlighting the brightness and playful character of the fragrance.

  • Jo Malone (Woody/Hinoki Collection):
For this deeper, wood-based scent, we used a hotel-like studio space with warm tones to reflect a calm, intimate atmosphere.
Color grading was closely matched to the bottle’s tone, creating a soft yet grounded visual that emphasized the quiet luxury of the scent.

  • Lacoste:
The aim was to reflect the brand’s sporty and fresh identity while keeping the visuals warm and approachable.
We used a home-like setting to suggest daily fragrance use and styled the model to align with the Lacoste mood—even without using Lacoste apparel.
The creative direction focused on natural light, relaxed styling, and everyday moments to express the cool, woody character of the scent.

4. Execution
From initial concept and location sourcing to model directing, styling, shoot execution, and post-production, I led the full process.
Rather than simple product photography, the visuals were crafted as narrative scenes—designed to communicate not just the look, but the feel of each fragrance.

SEOUL
FASHION WEEK

Project Type: Backstage & Celebrity Zone Visuals

Promotion
  • Role: Photographer (Full Contribution)
  • Period: 2024 S/S, 2024 F/W Seasons
  • Brands Covered: Vegan Tiger, Second Armua, Connect X, Jimin Lee, Hannah Shin, Fromwhere

Context
This project involved capturing the backstage and celebrity photo zones for six fashion brands during Seoul Fashion Week:
Vegan Tiger, Second Armua, Connect X, Jimin Lee, Hannah Shin, and Fromwhere.
The focus was not just on documentation, but on interpreting the spirit of each collection through emotionally resonant visuals.
Each shot was approached with artistic direction in mind, avoiding generic outputs and aiming instead to visually reflect the designer’s vision.

Strategy & Planning
In post-production, I tailored color tones and contrast based on each brand’s aesthetic—highlighting their seasonal palette and overall vibe.
On set, I gave model-specific direction, considering both the character of the individual and the energy of the outfit.
This approach ensured that every photo not only showed the garments clearly, but also expressed the story behind the look.

Execution
Despite a technically restricted setting—limited to one strobe—I worked with different light modifiers and used a fisheye lens to inject dynamism into key moments.
The use of optical distortion, custom lighting angles, and real-time styling adjustments allowed me to push beyond the environment’s constraints.
Rather than relying on standard backstage photography, I aimed to create visually rich, story-driven images that captured both the speed and emotion of the fashion week experience.

BRAND EVENT

VISUALS

Project Type: Fashion & Retail Event Visual Content Creation
Role: Photographer
Period: November 22, 2024
Brands Covered: Marithe François Girbaud, Henry Cotton’s, Simmons Grocery Store

Context
This project involved capturing key moments from fashion and lifestyle brand events held across three different venues.
The goal was to go beyond simple event documentation by producing visually curated content that aligned with each brand’s tone—whether fashion-forward or space-centered.
The imagery focused on atmosphere, product presentation, and spatial storytelling tailored to each brand’s identity.

Strategy & Planning
Marithe and Henry Cotton’s events were approached with a fashion-focused strategy, emphasizing outfits, styling, and runway-adjacent looks in candid environments.
For Simmons, the direction centered around the store’s curated interior and product display, capturing the brand’s spatial and design identity.
Lighting, camera movement, and composition were carefully adjusted on-site to match the rhythm and aesthetics of each event.

Execution
The shoot captured model styling, event energy, brand signage, and curated product displays across all three venues.
In post-production, I applied brand-specific tone mapping and color correction to ensure consistency with each label’s visual language.
